About Moose Test
A free, unofficial practice tool for the Canadian citizenship test. No account, no payment, and nothing you do here is tied to you — all your progress lives in this browser and nowhere else.
Where the questions come from
Every one of the 414 practice questions is written from Discover Canada — The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship, the official IRCC study guide. IRCC states plainly that all test questions are based on the subject areas in the Citizenship Regulations and that all required information is in that guide. Each question links back to the chapter it was drawn from, so you can check any answer against the source.
The three sample multiple-choice questions and 28 open study questions the government publishes are reproduced verbatim on the official questions page.
What is counted, and what is not
One thing is measured: how many people open the site, and which pages they open. It runs on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, gives you no identifier, and cannot follow you to any other site. It exists to answer a single question — is anyone using this — and it is the least it can collect and still answer it.
Your answers, your scores and your review schedule are not part of that and never leave your browser. There is nowhere for them to go: no account, no server that stores them, and no third party with access. The export on the progress page is the only way they move anywhere, and only you can trigger it.
The site's content security policy permits scripts from its own origin and from the analytics host named above. Nothing else can run here — no advertising, no trackers, no embedded third-party code.
What this is not
- Not the real question bank. IRCC does not publish it, and candidates agree not to disclose the questions they were asked. Every question here was written from the public study guide instead — no part of this site comes from anyone's actual test. Any site claiming to have "the actual questions" is either guessing or repeating something that should not have been shared.
- Not affiliated with the Government of Canada or with IRCC in any way.
- Not available in French. The official test can be taken in English or in French; this practice site is written in English only. Nothing here is a translation of anything, and the French wording of the study guide is on canada.ca.
- Not immigration advice. For eligibility, application status or anything with legal consequence, go to canada.ca or a licensed consultant.
